Albanian Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati met with the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, on Monday in Barcelona.

Bushati travelled to Barcelona to participate the second Union for the Mediterranean Regional Forum entitled “Mediterranean in Action: Youth for Stability and Development”.

 The duo met at the margins of the forum in Barcelona. Albanian Foreign Ministry said they talked about the “progress of Albania’s European path as well as the latest developments in the region and deepening cooperation between the EU and the Western Balkans.”

Bushati and Mogherini dwelled on the stabilizing and European role of Albanians in the region as well as Albania’s vision for a safer region where state-consolidating democratic processes carry on without being misused by third actors.

The ministry said Bushati underlined on Albania’s commitment to continue its contribution to a region involved in current Euro-Atlantic community.

The forum, which will be held on Jan, 23rd and 24th at the Palau de Pedralbes in Barcelona, is centered on youth’s potential as driving force for stability and development. The forum will be presided by the Co-Presidency of the Union for the Mediterranean, Jordan and the EU./tvklan.al
