Following the tension in the parliament, Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha said that social peace and democratic coexistence is endangered, as he urged Albanians to take control over the Parliament.

“If this Parliament decides to bring once again  the dictatorial regime that for 50 years has stopped thinking differently, and executed in all forms and ways the opposite thinking, then has come the time to speak the truth; social peace is endangered, democratic coexistence is endangered and the opposition has  the obligation to call on Albanians to take the Parliament in their control,”

said Basha, during a statement for the media out of the Assembly Hall .

Basha said parliament is the place where the opposition is supposed to apply its inalienable right to debate and free speech.

He said that after today’s incidents, which he called “democracy’s assassinations,” the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group will consider this difficult situation and will recommend further steps that the Democratic Party, not just its Parliamentary Group, but our allies, and all the citizens, will take together./tvklan.al
