The Democratic Party is convinced that the money found in Orest Sota’s car by Elbasan police belong to Saimir Tahiri. Democrat MP Enkelejd Alibeaj says that the link between Sota and Tahiri is clear, despite the Prime Minister, Interior Minister and General Director of Police are trying to hide the evidence of this implication.

Democrats call on the Prosecution to investigate, as according to them, the evidence is there and they should act immediately so Tahiri does not escape justice, while they ask Prime Minister  Edi Rama to quit his post.

Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, reacted earlier on this issue, saying in a statement that one of these sailing vessels used by Tahiri was removed from the Durres harbor on October 19, two days after the Habilaj wiretapping were made public. Basha says Sota has acquaintance with Tahiri and has moved abroad several times with the former minister with his car.

Orest Sota, a 25-year-old resident in Tirana, was arrested 3 days ago after trying to escape police on the national road near Balldren county. Two driver licenses which belong to former Interior Minister Tahiri and nearly 800,000 euros were found in the car crash. Shortly after the arrest, the money were seized as he failed to justify the source./tvklan.al
