EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini gave today the good news for Albanians, the recommendation for opening accession negotiations with the European Union.
“Today the EC has decided to open negotiations with Albania and Macedonia
”, Mogherini said.
“The Western Balkans is Europe and will be part of the future of the EU. Partners in the region have carried out important reforms over the last few years”,
Mogherini said.
“This decision has been taken on the basis of our thorough and factual analysis. Both countries have done a lot in recent months and this has to be recognized. If they accomplish, we must also accomplish. It is up to the Council to evaluate our documents to proceed with the next phase”,
