The President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, has sent a letter of condolence to his Greek counterpart, Prokopis Pavlopoulos, after lost lives due to bad weather.

“I was shocked and deeply saddened by the news of the victims, missing, injured and incalculable damage caused by the bad weather and the floods that hit the outskirts of Athens”,

said the head of the Albanian state in his letter.

Further, Meta says that the Albanian people support Greece in these hard times.

“Hoping that there are no other casualties in the flooded areas, let me express you through the most sincere and sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the victims. I assure you that in these difficult moments of despair, I and Albanian people are with citizens affected by the floods”.

“I wish to see this natural emergency as soon as possible and to return to the normal life of the citizens of Athens and Greece,”
