Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi is staying  for a few days in the United States in the framework of the United Nations General Assembly session.

Kosovo’s leader held several meetings with top world officials in the framework of his visit to the United States, and it is recently reported that he also had a meeting with the EU Foreign Policy chief Federica Mogherini, part of which was also Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic.

In an announcement issued by the Mogherini Information Office, it is stated that President Thaci and President Vucic have discussed the new phase of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, which is mediated by the European Union.

Further on, the announcement says:

“they also reviewed the progress made in implementing the Justice Agreement, which will come into full force on October 17, as agreed during their last meeting”

Mogherini welcomed and expressed her willingness to support what is being reported about the commitment of the two president for the normalization of Kosovo-Serbia relations.
