Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha reacted after the statements of Prime Minister Edi Rama at the NATO Summit Conference.

Through a post in social networks Basha says,

“Before you reminding NATO member countries  , or experienced and multi-star generals, what should this organization do with our region, and its future, Edi Rama should make sure to complete our country’s tasks. Fulfilling the obligations is not a tax but a contribution to the security of Albania and the region.”

According to the head of the Democratic Party, Rama has lowered the budget to the lowest national defense quota.

“Edi Rama has lowered the national defense budget to the lowest historic quota in 27 years, 0.75 percent, more than any other NATO member country. Instead of guaranteeing a budget for the armed forces, their training, capacity building and operational capability, Edi Rama has sent hundreds of millions to the facades of the building, the comfort and personal luxury of the minister’s office, as well as hundreds of millions of ALL others have been scrapped through scandalous tenders as the Supreme State Audit has uncovered. It is not only ridiculous, but also dangerous to behave as a global leader when you haven’t completed tasks in your own country”/
