The Prosecution for Serious Crimes required this Thursday the arrest of former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri.

House arrest was scheduled on Saturday by the Court for Serious Crimes, while the prosecution appealed recently the decision of the court of first instance.

According to ABC News, prosecutors claim there is new evidence against the former Interior Minister and suspect that he manipulated border’s registers.

The institution warns that Tahiri is likely to break the evidence and influence witnesses.
