For the second day in a row, oil workers protested in front of the Fier prefecture. They seek their re-employment in the refinery and refuse to receive the unemployment payment approved by the government.

The protest lasted for more than 1 hour, and the oil workers blocked the main boulevard leading to chaos in the traffic. This has caused also collisions with the police.

If their demands are not met and if the executive does not take measures to restore the refinery, they will march on their way to Tirana on Monday.

1200 Fier and Ballsh oil workers remained unemployed after leaving IRTC Oil, which had the management of this refinery.
