Democratic Party set three conditions on Monday to government of Prime Minister Rama for the implementation of electoral reform. As they had announced before, Democrats formalized in the Assembly their requirment to set up ad hoc parliamentary commission on electoral reform. Opposition’s leader Lulzim Basha, conditioned the process with three requests.

“Electronic voting and counting, reduction of the parties’ chairmen role, and empowering citizen’s represantation in the parliament and in all decision-making bodies,”

Lulzim Basha said.

He stressed that the opposition is willing to discuss about any model that meets the conditions set by DP.

Meanwhile, referring to 18th agreement Basha said that it was killed by Rama, and opposition will fight alone against Prime Minister to reform the political system.

In the demand of the ten Democratic deputies, it is said that the implementation of the electoral reform should aim at the inability to buy votes with money and government corruption, a concern noted in the final report of the caretaker government./tvklan.al
