Democratic Party leader Lulzim Basha in an interview for “Opinion” TV Klan  commented on the current situation of the Albanian opposition, for the first time since the defeat of elections in June.

Referring to the strong criticism of former Prime Minister Berisha, Basha said that the statements and critisism serve to make an analysis and reflections on the opposition’s state and the Democratic Party.

“I read his full interview. It is an interview that expresses fair concerns about Albania’s situation, the opposition situation and the Democratic Party, which serve for a reflection on the steps we will start taking this week to give the country an opposition as it deserves”,

 said Lulzim Basha.

However, Lulzim Basha has a point of view different from Sali Berisha for the 18th May agreement with Edi Rama. At this point, Basha says he was obligated to make that pact.

“I have a different attitude from Mr. Berisha regarding this. Berisha considers the agreement an excellent victory. For me the agreement came under the terms of an absolute obligation. The May 18th political agreement that came after the US intervention and as such was not my goal, my goal was Prime Minister’s dismission. After some European intervention, the American mission came to be known as Mcallister plus. At this point DP was forced to accept the deal.”/tvklan.al
