Following the implementation of the “Autumn 2017” Operational Plan, the structures of the Local Police Directorate of Vlora, in cooperation with the Special Department “Delta Forza”, during the last 24 hours have exercised continuous controls in order to crack down on criminal groups, searching citizens which use firearms illegally, as well as citizens involved in other criminal offenses.
After these sudden controls, the police have escorted to the Commissariat’s premises for more thorough verification, some vehicles, as well as citizens who have not been equipped with relevant vehicle guidance documents.
Vlora city is known for the high presence of criminal elements which have been identified as part of criminal contingents, mostly involved in drugs smuggling.
The blitz raid in this city followed another one conducted one day in Elbasan city where several people were stopped and interrogated by the police./tvklan.al
