President Ilir Meta met today with Macedonian Parliament Speaker, Talat Xhaferi, during the official visit that is taking place in the neighboring country.
President Meta once again congratulated Xhaferi for taking over the position of the President of the Assembly and stressed that he is proud that for the first time a prominent representative of the Albanians of Macedonia in charge of the Parliament and underlined that this is also a great responsibility .
President Meta encouraged the Parliament Speaker Xhaferi to be more contributing to the political and inter-ethnic coexistence in Macedonia.
Both interlocutors shared the same view that the Albanian factor in Macedonia is a very important factor of stability and clearly orientated by the EU and NATO. In this context, Meta Chairman expressed the belief that soon the Macedonian Parliament will adopt the law on the use of the Albanian language.
Specifically, President Meta praised the important moment in which Macedonia stands and reiterated Albania’s full support for its NATO membership./tvklan.al
