Sources from the parliamentary commission of laws announce that they have initiated procedures for replacing General Prosecutor Adriatik Llalla, whose mandate expires on the following day on December 7th.

Most have stated that they will elect a temporary prosecutor until the establishment of the High Prosecutor’s Office. While the opposition has objected accusing the majority that it will deploy a chief prosecutor to close crime files.

The Directorate for Monitoring Independent Institutions in the Assembly, in a memo addressed to the Laws Commission, announces that Adriatik Llalla’s mandate expires on 7 December.

The Monitoring Director agrees with the election of a temporary prosecutor, but specifies that for his election, a qualified majority of 84 votes should be cast. To complete this number of votes, the majority will need other MPs other than SPs./tvklan.al
