Prime Minister Edi Rama says the maritime agreement with Greece will be reached soon because the parties agreed to have a new accord that would eventually determine Albania’s sovereignty over its territories.

Invited to the “Zona e Pavarësisë” talk show in Klan Kosova, Rama said that this process was not similar to that of demarcation border of Kosovo with Montenegro. The head of government made strong accusation to the Albanian opposition, stressing that talks with Greece are being done to restore what was lost when Democratic Party governed the country.

“It is not the same (with the demarcation of Kosovo with Montenegro). On the contrary. It is quite different. We are in a stalemate situation with Greece for several years as a result of an agreement reached between the two former governments of both states, which was considered anti-constitutional by the Constitutional Court of Albania, with the argument that the agreement had violated the territory of Albania”./
