Former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri appeared in Court today requiring the revocation of “Home Arrest” security measure.

The Court knocked down the request deciding not to revoke the decision. After a two-and-a-half-hour session, former Minister’s attorney Maks Haxhia said outside the courtroom that “despite the prosecution material, there was no new evidence to show Tahiri’s involvement in committing any criminal offense”.

According to Judge Luliana Baku, Tahiri is capable of changing the evidences and interfere in the investigation process.

Prosecutor Besim Hajdarmataj noted that new evidence have been found regarding Tahiri case./tvklan.al
