The government and the opposition, unanimously have urged on Friday to start work immediately for the Electoral Reform, in the framework of good preparation for the upcoming elections.

“We have no time to waste, we must start working immediately”,

Parliament Speaker Gramoz Ruçi said.

Electoral system of elections was the most controversial issue before the June 25th elections, with the opposition urging it firmly as a guarantee for free elections, while the majority opposed arguing that there was no time for applying technology.

Following the initiation of the Electoral Reform Meeting by the Speaker of the Assembly, work continues under the direction of the co-chairmen Bylykbashi-Çuçi

Parliament Speaker Gramoz Ruçi did not address the representatives of other political parties except the PS-DP represented by the co-chairmen, which brought the opposition’s reaction, calling it an “arrogant” action.

Regarding debates over the past elections were legitimate or not, Ruci said “it is not up to this committee to determine how the elections were. These have been defined by the institutions and courts of this country, with positivists or remarks also relevant institutions with international reports”./tvklan.al
