Investments from EU funds will not only focus on schools and kindergartens, but also on infrastructure. It was this statement by Mayor Erion Veliaj, after participating in the closing activity of the IPA Cross-border IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program for the period 2007-2013 developed in the town of Aquila. For the mayor, such activities also serve to gain experience in managing civil emergencies, such as flooding.

Speaking about the funds received from the European Union, Veliaj said that thanks to them have been made a series of innovations that will now extend to rural areas

The IPA Adriatic CBC Program is the most important instrument of Territorial Cooperation in the Adriatic-Ionian area, with a budget of about 244 million Euros, through which 104 projects have been financed, including 893 of beneficial character and 191 related to the headquarters in territories of 8 participating States./tvklan.al
