Albanian government has today approved the 50 percent increase of salaries for Vetting commissioners  and has called for the immediate launch of the process.

Justice Minister Etilda Gjonaj, at a press conference , said the government has approved the 50 percent increase in pay for all those who will work in Vetting institutions, a key part of the Justice Reform.

“By today’s decision, the Albanian Government, which was committed to providing financial and infrastructural support for implementing the justice reform, has confirmed once again its serious commitment. The Government’s budgetary support and full will to increase the salary by 50% are equally a constitutional and legal obligation”.

She said that the Albanian government is very interested in starting the Vetting process as soon as possible.

“Now it is up to the Vetting commissions to show the will and the commitment to start this process.”/tvklan.al
