Prime Minister Edi Rama has asked the university world’s help to create the Village Academy. It is the fruit of an agreement with the University for the Project of 100 villages, with the aim of transforming them into genuine tourist destinations.

“We will turn these 100 villages into genuine tourist destinations to spark economic and social development, where until now it seems impossible and to highlight the great potentials for a different approach to tomorrow, wherever there is a chance to develop an intensive agriculture or stockbreeding, are completely limited”.

Agroturism, the prime minister says, will turn his attention away from the village and will be the mechanism of getting out of poverty.

“We strongly believe that tourism, and in this case, agrotourism as a dragging mechanism towards the village, thanks to its extraordinary natural beauties, cultural heritage values, history and stories to show is an efficient and unused instrument to date out of poverty”.

The government aims to attract the attention of immigrants to the country, to have successful investment history in the village./tvklan.al
