Dëfrim Kasmi’s killer, which committed the murder on January 29 in the capital Tirana, has been arrested. . The 41-year-old executor is a Greek citizen from Arta, identified as Efthymiou Efthymious 41, a former special police officer in the 1992-2012 periods.

“The Greek citizen pleaded as a former Greek police special police officer from 1992 to 2012, at which time he was expelled because it was found to be a narcotics trafficker”,

 Ardi Veliu, director of Tirana Police said.

Other arrested persons are Elton Halipaj, 36,  from Skrapari, Malvin Dinellari 30, from Korça, Elton Hoxhallari 36, from Tirana. Aurel Hoxhallari 41, from Tirana, is declared wanted for organizing the murder.

The assassination attempt against Kasmi took place around 18:45 on Monday at “Petro Cani” street./tvklan.al
