President Ilir Meta congratulated President Donald Trump on the 242nd anniversary of Independence of the United States of America.
The head of state praised the close alliance between Albania and the United States, stressing that this partnership between the two countries needs to be further strengthened.
“On the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the Independence Day, I would like to convey to you the most sincere and heartfelt wishes on behalf of the Albanian people.We wish you and all Americans wherever they are, success, peace and prosperity.
Every Albanian strongly believes in the solid alliance between our two countries, based on the historical foundations of true co-operation and friendship. As the country’s president, I assure you of the unwavering commitment to strengthening this partnership based on the common principles that hold firmly the United States of America and Albania.
Thanking you, Mr. President, for the continued support to my country, I would like to emphasize the importance of increasing the US presence in Albania and the Western Balkans region as a key factor for peace, stability and security.
We are ready for the further strengthening of the Strategic Bilateral Partnership in Security and NATO, and I believe that under your direction we will strengthen these ties and further expand cooperation in the benefit of our country’s freedom and prosperity wide.
Albania will stay in solidarity with the US and will join your efforts in multilateral forums to give new opportunities to peace in the world.
