The meeting of the Tirana Municipal Council was today focused at the National Theater issue. Democratic Party advisers spoke about extortion of public property and violations of the law on local competencies.
“The Albanian Constitution recognizes this troupe, the elected people of Tirana, to be the guarantors, defenders, for the public land of the city”.
After the accusations the opposition left the meeting.
But Mayor Erion Veliaj described the opposition’s stance as a show off and said the project for the New Theater will continue.
While with majority votes, the Tirana Municipal Council decided to provide 50,000 Euros for the Municipality of Athens to cope with the fires which have engulfed near Athens./tvklan.al
