Nearly 13,000 employees of the State Police, the Guard of the Republic and the Internal Affairs and Complaints Service will be subject “Vetting” in these Institutions.

The draft law under which this process will be conducted was approved this Wednesday by the Council of Ministers. This project defines the principles, criteria, transition and periodic evaluation procedures, standards, organization and functioning of assessment bodies for the employees of the structures to be verified.

For other levels, commissions will be set up to integrate with employees who have successfully passed the Vetting. According to the Ministry of Interior, clearance of ranks is important in the conditions within them there are elements affected by crime and corruption.

All police officers who do not meet the criteria for continuing to work are free to leave before the law is adopted./tvklan.al
