Court seized on Monday some of the assets of the former Chief Prosecutor, Adriatik Llalla three months after the investigations started. 22.000 m land and a residential apartment in Durrës were seized as the court argued that they are products of criminal activities.

These assets cannot be alienated until another court decision for their confiscation or release.

While the prosecution says that investigations on this issue continue, but without determining what further actions will be taken. Durrës Prosecution on March 15 this year marked an investigation on the former chief prosecutor for money laundering, false property declaration and abuse of office.

The Prosecution for Serious Crimes comes about a month after Adriatik Llalla “escaped” the Vetting process. The Special Commission of Appeals on June 11th decided to terminate the process for Llalla after resigning. Llalla was the head of the Albanian Prosecutor’s Office from September 2012 until December 2017 when he was replaced by Arta Marku./tvklan.al
