According to the Serbian President Alexander Vucic reviewing borders does not mean exchanging territories. As he explained in an interview for the Serbian state television, his proposal has to do with officially recognizing a new reality, that of a territory that is not administered by Serbia.

“We have a territory designated by the Western Powers that is on the ground against us. The borders in Jarinje and Bernjak were set in 2011. Today, they are called administrative crossings because we do not know them as borders. But we can not really enter the territory of Kosovo without exceeding this limit, except for the secret paths. In Kosovo we have no power and we have boundaries with no will”.

The Serbian president says the current borders are irreversible and has been defined by the United States, Germany and the Great Western Powers. Realizing this reality clearly, Vucic seeks to get as much rights and guarantees as possible for the welfare of the Serb people in Kosovo.

One of the main goals is to create a climate of peace and stability in the north of Kosovo to attract as much foreign investment to Kosovo Serb regions in order to improve their economic situation.

The head of the Serbian state said it is currently working on drafting the dialogue plan with Pristina and will present it to the northern Serbs in the visit it envisions in northern Kosovo on 9 September./tvklan.al
