Today’s parliamentary session has begun with a lot of tension and debate. Assembly Speaker Gramoz Ruçi has interrupted the parliament’s session twice after fierce debates with Democratic Party leader Lulzim Basha.

Ruçi criticized Democrats for invading the podium. At this moment, the Democratic MPs stood up and surrounded the parliamentary bulletin. Under such conditions, the head of the Assembly for the second time suspended the session.

The debate was provoked regarding special parliamentary commission on electoral reform. The Democratic Party’s parliamentary group called for discussions for the electoral reform commission after they had deposited the request at the secretary of the assembly.

Meanwhile, with the approval of the PS Group and the SMI, it was voted for this discussion to take place in the next session in order to prepare all parties.

After voting that the discussion was postponed next Thursday, Basha asked Gramoz Ruci to convene the Conference of Mayors on this issue and not to drop the opposition’s right to a discussion./tvklan.al
