MEP Knut Fleckenstein through a Twitter post has congratulated Albania on receiving the unconditional recommendation from the European Commission to open negotiations for EU membership.
The MEP says he expects the progress report to be approved by the European Council and that Albania deserves this decision.
“Congratulations! Am very happy. Big step forward for Albania! Unconditional recommendation from the EU-commission to open the negotiations. Albania deserves it! And now we count on the Council to agree as well”.
