Italian Guardia di Finanzia seized Sunday a speedboat with some 1.35 tons of cannabis sativa around Puglia’s coast, southern Italy.
Albanian police said in a statement they informed and cooperated with Italian police to catch the speedboat that was reaching Italian coast from Albania.
The police say that the drug traffic network is composed of Albanian and Italian nationals.
Guardia di Finanzia of Puglia stopped the speedboat near Bari and arrested in flagrance two Albanian nationals, G.I., 24-year-old and B.K. 52-years-old.
A day earlier, on Saturday, Albanian police seized two speedboats in coastal city of Vlora and arrested four Italian nationals. The speedboats were allegedly to be used to carry drugs from Albanian coast to Italy./tvklan.al
