Talks between Kosovo and Serbia are at a new phase and the only option remained is the good neighboring relations.
This is how Kosovo President Hashim Thaci sees the situation between the two countries. In an interview for the
Voice of America
, Thaci expressed confidence that Kosovo’s recognition from Serbia will happen in a near future.
But these statements by the Kosovo president prompted Belgrade’s official reaction. Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić said that Thaci should stop dreaming since Serbia will never recognize Kosovo.
“Serbia will never recognize unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo, apparently they are living in a dream and in a parallel world.”
Even Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic left open the door to dialogue with Kosovo, but explained that initially an internal discussion would take place in Serbia, to then determine the steps for the future./tvklan.al
