After the departure of US Ambassador Donald Lu, the next foreign diplomat whose mandate will be finished is the EU Ambassador Romana Vlahutin. She will be replaced by Luigi Sorcea, an Italian specialized in anti-corruption and anti-drug issues.
Vlahutin will leave Albania while being accused by the Democrats of sending distorted information to Brussels about the reality in the country as well as accused of abuse of duty.
Vlahutin’s successor, Sorcea has been working with the European Union since 1998, while previously has been working in the Italian Ministry of Interior./tvklan.al
