Albanian Prime Minister unveiled Tuesday a $ 1 billion project which aims to help Albanian economy reach a growth rate of 5%.

The project was unveiled by PM, Edi Rama and Minister of Finance, Arben Ahmetaj, at a meeting held in capital Tirana.

Rama said that the new package, established in partnership between state and private companies, will directly affect sectors as infrastructure, healthcare, and help raise the employment rates.

“This package will provide new resources for the state budget and will do what we have aimed since the first day in office, an economic growth rate of 5%,” Rama said.

Rama said that Albania is not the only one country to rely on State-private partnership to create such packages. The same technique is being used also by Germany among the others, he said.

The first project to be financed by this $ 1 billion package is the Arbri’s Road, a huge investment which will connect Capital Tirana with Peshkopia city./tvklan.al
