Albanian ruling coalition leaders Prime Minister Edi Rama and Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta invited the opposition for a dialogue at the parliament or other discussion tables requested by the Democratic Party.

In a statement published after the weekly meeting between Rama and Meta, the coalition said it is ready to sit down at the dialogue table with opposition and discuss the judiciary reform, vetting law and the election reform.

“The ruling coalition is ready to dialogue with the opposition on the necessity of advancing with these reforms on the national interest of people, welcoming every concrete and realistic proposal from the opposition on the election process.”

 “Coalition leaders express their readiness to dialogue with opposition’s representatives in Parliament or every dialogue table that is desirable for the opposition.”

Albanian opposition has boycotted the parliament and is on the streets sicne Feb. 18, calling for Rama’s resignation and caretaking govenrmnet as a guarantor for free and fair elections.
