According to the opposition’s leader Lulzim Basha Tahiri issue and Justice Reform are the main concerns of the European Union. From Brussels, where he participated in the Political Assembly of the European People’s Party, the Democratic Party leader said the government has ditched the Vetting process.

“There is a big concern of the European institutions for the stagnation of the Justice Reform, embodied in the Tahiri case. It is clear to them that Edi Rama has ditched the Vetting squad, appointing a prosecutor without vetting and taking steps back in the former-interior minister’s political-criminal investigation”.

Basha accused Prime Minister Rama of censoring the role of foreign diplomats in advancing the Justice Reform.

On the eve of the progress report of the European Commission for Albania, Basha underlined that Brussels seeks to see concrete steps in reforms and if this issue would be purely political, he would insist on opening negotiations with the European Union./tvklan.al
