EU negotiations, Rama: We did it!

Prime Minister Edi Rama has commented on the EU foreign ministers decision, who agreed that Albania should open negotiations in June 2019.

In a post on social networks, the premier says government reforms convinced the most skeptical countries to recognize Albania’s merit and to set a date for opening negotiations.

However, we won one battle, but not the war, Rama adds.

“After 72 hours between the EU’s internal waves, Albania managed to get the date for accession into the United Europe port. The results of our reforms led the skeptics to recognize the merits of Albania and Macedonia. An incredibly difficult battle was won”,
