MP Saimir Tahiri has arrived at the Serious Crimes Prosecution Office to testify regarding the investigations into the implications of drug trafficking with the Habilaj gang.
Prosecutor Besim Hajdarmataj, who last week had requested parliamentary authorization for the arrest of former Interior Minister, invited Tahiri to testify at the Prosecution.
The invitation was filed yesterday when four Judicial Police officers searched his home in Tirana.
He was not found at home to serve the investigation, but the former Interior Minister has been called to provide explanations for implicating his name in the Habilai criminal group.
Also, the Socialist MP is asked to clarify once more to the prosecutor how he sold his car to the persons under investigation such as the brothers Habilaj.
Tahiri arrived at the Prosecutor’s Office on Friday midday, accompanied by his two attorneys./tvklan.al
